Terms & Conditions
These terms cover how Nimbus Forge Academy delivers courses, private engagements, and supporting services from our studio in Seoul. We have written them in plain language so anyone signing up for a course or engaging us for a private workshop can read them in a single sitting.
1. Limitation of liability
Nimbus Forge Academy is a training provider. We are responsible for the quality of teaching, the accuracy of the materials we publish, and the conduct of our staff during sessions. We are not responsible for the operational decisions you make with what you learn from us.
To the extent permitted by Korean law, our total liability arising from any single course or engagement is capped at the fees you paid us for that course or engagement. We do not accept liability for indirect losses, lost revenue, or third-party claims that result from how you apply course material in your own environment.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited under the Korean Framework Act on Consumers or other applicable consumer protection rules.
2. Your responsibilities as a learner
You agree to use your account, lab environments, and learning materials for personal study and your own work. Sharing logins, redistributing workbooks, or republishing recordings outside your immediate team is not permitted.
During live sessions we expect respectful conduct toward instructors, mentors, and peers. We reserve the right to remove a learner from a cohort without refund where conduct is harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise unsafe for the wider group.
You are responsible for the security of any external systems you choose to connect to lab environments. Only sandboxed lab tenants and credentials we provide are part of the course.
3. What you are buying
Each course page sets out the schedule, format, duration, and outcomes for that programme. The course page is the source of truth at the moment you enrol, and it is the version of the course you are entitled to.
We may make small editorial corrections during a cohort — typos, link fixes, clearer phrasing. We will not materially change the structure or stated outcomes of a course you have already paid for without offering you the option to defer or refund.
Private engagements are scoped in writing in a separate statement of work that is signed before any preparation begins. The statement of work overrides anything on the public website where the two differ.
4. Intellectual property
Workbooks, recordings, lab guides, slide decks, and all other course materials are the intellectual property of Nimbus Forge Academy unless we explicitly state otherwise on the artefact itself.
You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read, annotate, and reproduce these materials for your own learning and your own work output. You may quote short extracts internally with attribution.
Custom written critiques produced as part of a private clinic engagement are work-for-hire deliverables and the copyright is assigned to your organisation on payment of the engagement fee.
5. Acceptance of these terms
You accept these terms when you complete an enrolment, sign a private engagement statement of work, or use any of our learning systems.
If you are signing up on behalf of an organisation you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
If we make material changes we will notify enrolled learners by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect, and we will publish the new effective date at the top of this page.
6. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will, where possible, be resolved by direct conversation between you and the Academy Director.
Where direct conversation does not resolve a dispute, the parties agree first to attempt mediation through the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board. Litigation is the last resort and the Seoul Central District Court has exclusive jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section affects your rights as a consumer to bring a claim under the relevant Korean consumer protection laws.
7. Withdrawal and termination
You may withdraw from an enrolment at any time. Refund eligibility is set out on the Refund & Cancellation page and follows Korean consumer protection guidance.
We may end your enrolment in serious cases — non-payment after a written reminder, repeated breach of conduct rules, or misuse of lab environments. Where the cause is conduct or misuse we will explain the reason in writing.
On termination from any side we will return any work you submitted to us if you ask, in the format it was originally provided.
8. Updates to these terms
These terms may change as our services evolve. The effective date at the top of the page is updated each time we publish a change.
We keep a short changelog of substantive amendments for two years after each change so you can see what was different and when.
